Americans report loneliness, isolation
Americans are significantly impacted by a divided country. They feel lonely and isolated and express doubt about information spread via technology. Last month, the 2025 Stress in America survey reported these results and more.
Each year, The Harris Poll is conducted online on behalf of the American Psychological Association (APA). It measures the stress levels and sources of stress for 3,199 adults ages 18 and older.
The most recent survey shows 62% of respondents reporting societal division as a major stressor. Of those, 61% feel isolated often or some of the time as a result.
