AGES/GRADES: Males and females ages 8-22. Extended program with 216 school days, 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week care.

THERAPEUTIC SERVICES: Provide individual, group, and family therapies, an integrated arts and art therapy program and community/family reintegration support services. A range of medical, psychological and psychiatric services are an integral part of program. Special focus is given to building adult daily living skills and adult preparedness to help our students live as independently as possible once in adult programs.

THERAPEUTIC ORIENTATION: Strength-based approach and evidence-based therapies including cognitive behavioral, ABA, CBT, and art and expressive therapies. Latham uses Positive Behavioral Supports built around our core philosophies, working to build resiliency within each student offering them opportunities for Belonging, Generosity, Independence, and Mastery.

POPULATION SERVED: Individuals who are diagnosed with: Intellectual disabilities and are developmentally  or emotionally delayed; Prader-Willi Syndrome; Autism Spectrum Disorder, and any of these in combination with: PTSD, reactive attachment disorder, depressive and mood disorders, bipolar disorder, ODD.

COMMENTS: Located on Cape Cod the campus includes: two dormitories; school building, math lab, vocational classroom, music and performing arts room, indoor fitness space and outside track, dining hall, nursing center, and clinical building. Classrooms are selected by students’ age and ability, and vary from transitional focused education (which includes multiple community outings per week), to core-based subject focused education (which prepares students for state tests such as the MCAS-ALT). Also residential program hosts one community based off-campus house for students aging into adult day or residential programs. COA approved and accept international students as a SEVIS I-17 approved school. Member of the National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs.
